open minded inquisitive woman with 2 children. sexually liberated submissive which was a long time coming--the pieces finally fell into place for me & i now feel more 'myself' than i've ever felt. i am an artist, working in acrylics, watercolor and figurative sculpture mostly. i keep a journal, a lovely perennial & vegetable garden with a small apiary. i love to read and am known to forget about time and space when i enter a library or used bookshop (currently reading 'love's work, a reckoning with life' by gillian rose; as well as 'the hunger game trilogy' simultaneously with my daughter). music, poetry, philosophy and a steaming scented bath at the end of the day all things that make me happy.

destroy your reputation

When you love you wish to do things for. You wish to sacrifice for. You wish to serve.

You are part of my existence, part of myself. You have been in every line I have ever read, since I first came here, the rough common boy whose poor heart you wounded even then. You have been in every prospect I have ever seen since-on the river, on the sails of the ships, on the marshes, in the clouds, in the light, in the darkness, in the wind, in the woods, in the sea, in the streets. You have been the embodiment of every graceful fancy that my mind has ever become acquainted with.

I wish the whole world would embrace what it hates. Find what you’re afraid of most and go live there.

alas, the chanting of ‘survival of the fittest’ as an excuse for bullying (from the school grounds to the boardrooms) has drowned out this piece of darwin’s wisdom.

Doug Perrine captured these stunning photographs in the Maldives. The particular location (Vaadhoo Island) has a concentrated population of bioluminescent phytoplankton. Bioluminescence is a natural chemical reaction which occurs when a micro-organism in the water reacts with oxygen. When washed ashore by the tides, the phytoplankton’s chemical energy is turned into light energy, illuminating the waves.

“Just be careful. Passion is a bridge that connects love and hate. When you’re standing in the middle of that bridge, don’t let yourself get turned around. You’ve got to make sure you know which direction you’re heading. Watch yourself.”
